Astrid reached out she was extremely excited! She was so excited to finally book a maternity session after never getting to do one with her first son. She mentioned she was a little nervous, but was looking forward to this special session with her family before her new baby arrived. I wanted to make sure she got the entire experience. She was up for any ideas which was so fun for me to get my creativity flowing- we started off with some classic gowns, and moved on to doing some gorgeous fabric and artistic looks. I couldn’t pick a favorite if I had to. During her ordering appointment she went with our largest package of digital images, and she was in love with them as was her husband. It’s truly a once in a lifetime experience because every pregnancy is different, and also a small part of your life journey- one of the most memorable ones.

One thing I couldn’t deny was her connection with her first baby boy, now aged six. He was so sweet with his mom, and I could see the excitement in his eyes that he was getting a new baby brother! Needless to say, it always gets me in my heart when it’s time to do the mommy and me segment. Lot’s of moms to be for the second time, have an indescribable love for their first child, and they don’t know how life will change when the new baby arrives. Little does mom know, that her heart will soon grow doubled in size with love.

Dad was actually the one that was even more excited to see his beautiful wife in the images, he came to the reveal not exactly knowing what to expect, but when he saw them he was blown away. It brings me so much joy to bring joy to my clients- and capturing these forever memories is my truth.
