When Lauren first reached out to me, she was already very far along and realized that the time was flying and she found out about me from referrals. She saw my website and really liked what she saw, since what she wanted was different than everyone else’s maternity shoots. She wanted to do something in studio, some classics, as well as some casual, laid back shots with natural light. I was all for this vision, and even though I am usually closed on weekends, we were able to squeeze her in on a Saturday that happened to work out since I was already very booked for that month. I knew she was going to be wonderful to work with, and we hit it off energy wise right away.
I loved her bond with her hubby. He was all for the session, and very supportive. We stuck with whites, blacks, and classic neutrals which made out to be a gorgeous aesthetic. Lauren was extremely sweet and she was excited to see what I came up with creatively. As all mamas to be are, she was a little nervous at first but she was surprised in how comfortable she felt with me. The thing is, I know not everyone has modeled in front of a camera before, which is why I SHOW mom exactly how to pose so she doesn’t have to worry about a thing. The images came out stunning!
The end of the session was so beautiful. We switched gears a bit and opened up all of the curtains of the 20ft floor to ceiling windows of the studio and did a little cozy setup for them. The ultrasound images were so sweet and I could feel their excitement! I can’t wait to see their gorgeous canvas hanging inside their home and for them to see their album- they chose almost all of the images at their gallery appointment. I can’t wait to meet their little one, can’t wait to hear if it’s a boy or girl!
