Baby Vior was a true miracle. We photographed him at just four days new, and it’s amazing that he had already flown across the county-truly. He was born in San Diego via surrogacy, and was brought home to Connecticut by his dads and his siblings. His story struck me as beautiful, because both of his dads knew their family was now complete. They did opt for the in home newborn session, since I do offer in studio newborn sessions as well. It’s nice to offer both to my clients due to their different needs. One of his parents was also a photographer, and he told me he was very excited to have found a photographer to capture these sweet moments here in Connecticut since they had just moved to Fairfield from Miami- BIG CHANGE. Usually he is the one taking the family and kids’ pictures, but he was really looking forward to being in front of the camera this time. Their home was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for our session.

We started our session with a full family segment. Both dads main priority was to get those amazing family lifestyle moments with the kids and parents laughing and holding their new baby. See below what we documented!

After we completed the family segment, Vior was already fast asleep, and we wanted to get some sleepy newborn shots. Dads even had props available from their own prop collection so we used them (see moon prop and nest prop above) I fell in love with the moon prop so much, that I purchased one shortly after their newborn session.

For the finishing portion of our session, it was time for special daddy and me moments. They loved the black and white feel so we went for it!
