Our studio is actually located right off of exit 30 from i-95 close to Two Roads Brewery in Stratford, but our clients come from everywhere. We get lot of clients coming in from Stamford, Ct and surrounding areas, mainly due to word of mouth and location.

One Year of Wonderland: Cayden’s Winter Woodland Cake Smash

Time flies when you’re having fun and here at Drea S Photo, we certainly know that to be true. Just when we thought we couldn’t love Cayden’s precious face any more, he turned one and graced us with his presence for a winter woodlands cake smash photoshoot!

The journey with Cayden and his amazing family started long before this epic cake-filled celebration. We first met his mom through a mutual friend’s wedding I was shooting, and she already knew what I did for a living. She said I have a little secret, we are not even 12 weeks pregnant yet but I couldn’t wait to tell you so we could book you! The excitement for their little one’s arrival was palpable, and we were honored to document this special chapter in their lives.

Then, after Cayden’s grand entrance into the world, we got set up for for his home newborn session at their home in Stamford. Those tiny fingers and toes, the perfect little button nose, he was quite perfect. Capturing his first yawns, his cute cheeks, and snuggles up Christmas moments were some of my favorites that I will never forget.

And now, a year later, here we were, ready to celebrate Cayden’s first trip around the sun with a winter wonderland cake smash photoshoot. Talk about coming full circle! The theme was something mom and dad loved, since he was a December baby, we wanted to incorporate winter, with a backdrop of snowy trees, twinkling lights, and rustic wooden props. They even brought a frosted wonderland cake. We started with a neutral set.

The moment we brought out the cake, he dug right in! He smashed, played, and tried out the cake with delight. He actually ended up eating a lot of it! When it was time for the bubble bath segment, he was also all smiles, he loved splashing in the warm water and gave us his epic smiles once again.

As the session came to a close, Cayden was a sticky, happy mess, but with a birthday memory he’ll never forget. Thank you, Cayden and family, for allowing us to be a part of your journey from belly to bump to birthday and beyond. We can’t wait to see what adventures await you in the next year many years to come. Check out the gorgeous family segment we did at the end!
