Melissa’s maternity session at our beautiful photography studio was a mixture of glam, classic, editorial, and modern . Our studio is located right off of exit 30 from i-95- easily accessible from New Haven, to Fairfield County, and we even get clients coming in from Westchester County and NYC. We also did an outdoor sunset segment as an add-on to complete her whole vision. It was truly a stunning shoot, and Melissa and her husband had such amazing chemistry!

Melissa was a natural in front of the camera, and she knew exactly what she wanted. She had a clear vision for her maternity photos, and we were excited to help her bring it to life. We started with some classic studio shots, where Melissa looked absolutely radiant in a flowing white fabric and we also did a classic black gown. We then moved on to some more editorial shots, where we used solid colors and dramatic lighting to create truly unique images.

For the outdoor sunset segment, we headed to a nearby park in Stratford, CT. The setting sun cast a warm glow over the scene, and Melissa looked absolutely breathtaking. We captured some of our favorite shots of the day during this segment.

We are so grateful to Melissa and her husband for choosing us to photograph this special time in their lives. We had such a wonderful time working with them, and we are so happy with the results of the shoot. We can’t wait to photograph their baby boy when he arrives!

Here are a few tips for planning your own maternity session:

• Choose a photographer who has experience with maternity photography. This is a special time in your life, and you want to make sure that your photographer knows how to capture it in the best possible light. A client closet is a plus! We have a full collection of gowns, fabrics, bodysuits, and pieces for all our booked maternity clients.
• Think about what kind of look you want for your photos. Do you want a classic look? A more glamorous look? Something editorial? Once you know what you’re looking for, your photographer can help you choose the right location, wardrobe, and props.
• Don’t be afraid to experiment. Maternity photography is a great opportunity to try something new. Whether you want to try a different hairstyle or wear a daring outfit, go for it!
• Relax and have fun! Maternity photography should be a fun and enjoyable experience. Your photographer will be there to guide you and help you pose, so just relax and enjoy the moment.
