A Neutral Newborn Session at Home

Recently, we had the pleasure of capturing newborn photos for baby girl Chiara in her family home in Stamford, CT. I love when I get to photograph the siblings of newborns I’ve shot in the past. Just a couple of years ago I was here photographing their first baby girl, and now we are back photographing them as a family of four! This time around, we focused on neutral tones, pastels, and whites as our aesthetic to create a timeless and elegant look.

The session was filled so many beautiful moments. My absolute favorite moments were when we photographed Chiara with her three-year-old sister. The big sister was so gentle and loving, and we even got some kisses! They were both so precious together.

We combined natural light as well as my controlled strobe lighting to create a variety of looks. When in home, I like to be prepared and we use the best lighting possible. Typically I do prep parents prior to me coming, so they are ready with a nice open area for me to set up in. I love that the whole session flowed so beautifully with posing family, and then transitioning right into working with the baby alone.
