Jaime was glowing as she stepped into my studio for her maternity session. She was 33 weeks pregnant with her first child, and she was excited to capture this special time in her life.
We decided to go for an editorial, classic, and magazine-worthy vibe for her session. I wanted the photos to be timeless and elegant, and I wanted to highlight Jaime’s beauty and her growing bump.
We started the session with some simple portraits of Jaime in a jeans and a black top. I wanted to keep the focus on her face and her bump, so I used a simple backdrop and strobe lighting.
Next, we moved on to some more creative poses. I had Jaime pose while my assistant threw the fabric. The results were stunning.
We also did some shots of Jaime in gowns chosen from our client closet- she chose the Katharina Hakaj Couture white gown and it was amazing.
The session ended with some beautiful summery shots- with cool spotlight lighting. I wanted to capture the details of her skin and her curves, and I wanted to show the beauty of pregnancy.
Susan was thrilled with her photos. She said that they were even better than she had imagined. She was so happy to have these memories to cherish for years to come.
If you are planning a maternity session, I encourage you to go for an editorial, classic, and magazine-worthy vibe. These photos will be timeless and elegant, and they will capture this special time in your life perfectly.
