Recently, I had the pleasure of welcoming Stephanie into the studio for a session that was all about documenting her connection with her sweet baby.

Stephanie wanted me to take the lead, and I almost always start off with neutrals and simplicity. I had to add my favorite touch which is always some kind of flowers or floral pattern. It is just so dreamy to me.

Chasing the Light

One of the highlights of the day was playing with backlit photos. This is one lighting that is universally flattering, stunning, and romantic. Also, it is timeless and will look like a piece of artwork even years and decades down the road. This is a must have in your maternity session gallery!

Of course, we had to get some couples shots in the mix! Seeing the connection between Stephanie and her husband made the session even more meaningful. These photos aren’t just about a “bump”—they are about the start of a whole new chapter for a family.
