2 week old baby Aria was a little angel! She looked so precious and tiny, and she fell right to sleep from the get-go. She was so adorable- her facial expressions were everything! I loved working with her family. Mom and dad were both working in Manhattan at the time, and had recently moved to Stamford. They said they had found me on the internet, and I was so happy to have a connection, and we talked quite a bit in between takes. Mom really loved soft tones and pastels for Aria- she was a dream.

We were able to capture this beautiful newborn stage in the best way I know how, through beautiful imagery, and trying to bring a unique touch to every single session. Whether it be colors, accents, or setups, I always try to make it their own. Mom and dad fell in love with the not so traditional colors- especially the green and the burnt orange! I could have photographed her all day 🙂

NEWBORN SESSION

When you book your newborn photography session, you want to make sure you connect with your photographer, and you want to be a good fit. It is a big deal for you to capture these fleeting moments. I love to connect with my clients, and any concerns, questions, or ideas can be brought up. It’s important so I can know what you like and don’t like. Don’t worry about asking too many questions because I am here to help!

Some babies don’t like certain poses and that’s okay. Our newborn sessions are baby-led which means I always read baby’s cues and make sure that baby is always comfortable, secure, and content.

This is why an experienced professional is so important to consider for this job.

A professional will be patient, gentle, and considerate

They will care for you and your family and make sure you are in a comfortable environment in the studio or at home

They will know soothing techniques to calm your newborn baby down

They will know the cues for when baby is hungry or not liking the pose.

They won’t force baby to pose in a certain way

Aria’s session ended beautifully with the family with white outfits on a white backdrop. Mama chose one of our gorgeous couture dresses from our client gown closet. They looked straight out of a magazine! They loved ALL of the images at their ordering, and that makes me know I did my job. I really loved meeting them.
