Fairfield County Connecticut Maternity Photographer/ Susan's Studio Maternity Session

What can I say, other than I am so blessed to work with such wonderful and gorgeous mamas- Inside AND out! Susan and I hit it off right away, her energy and vibe were so fun from the get-go. We got to know each other a little while we waited for Yuli, the makeup artist. We chatted about her job in Manhattan and how much she loved it, and was anxious to life with a baby but very excited. This feeling is so normal, I hear it many times and it’s ok and healthy to feel this way. Soon enough, you won’t remember what life was like prior to your blessing arriving. While we waited, we reviewed what she had brought to the session and she brought pretty much everything on the list I sent her. I do prep all of my maternity clients prior to their session with good timing. Essential things such as a nude undergarment set, a black one, a pair of jeans, fancy earrings, etc are all on their maternity prep list. Once they arrive, we can get right to shooting. When Yuli arrived, we decided to go for a soft glam look- and we made sure we worked with fabrics almost the whole time. She also wore the chic and stunning black bodysuit. I would describe this whole aesthetic as editorial and classic. Love it!

Baby was really kicking in there! As mentioned, Susan really loved the look of fabrics, and not so much gowns. That is ok, since everyone has a different vision for their own maternity session, and I always love to work in accordance and gain inspiration from their inspiration. Your vision is so important to me! We worked with white, beige, black, and I even convinced her to throw in some red with the dark backdrop- she was so glad we did it when she saw her images at her gallery reveal!

The looks fit her so well. She pulled her hair back for this shot, and we got an editorial, magazine type shot. Definitely fit her NYC personality!
