When I first spoke with Amaya’s mom and dad, they had just found out that they were expecting. They reached out to me, an this being their first pregnancy, they wanted to know all about our maternity and newborn sessions and really did their research to find a good fit for their needs. They were mostly interested in my style of newborn and maternity photography, as well as someone reliable and someone who was local to them. There are so many important questions to ask your newborn photographer, and they should be able to answer them with professionality as well as make you feel at ease with the whole process. Mom and dad loved the idea of neutrals, but they were also wanting to really highlight the spirit of the season. Baby Amaya was so sweet and lovable, and I enjoyed every moment of working with the three of them. What gorgeous sessions we had! It is always a little bittersweet at the end of our sessions, because it truly is a momentous time in my clients’ lives.

We did all the colors mom wanted and she fell in love with them all. We even caught her in the bucket pose which mom and dad loved. During newborn sessions, I love adding bonnets, hearts, and bears. It truly gives the sweetness feeling to a newborn baby. Their family is too precious and I can’t wait until I get to see them again, hopefully for Amaya’s cake smash in a year!

I truly feel blessed that this is my job, and that I get to work with these precious little humans. Amaya was less than two weeks old here!
