Connecticut Newborn and Maternity Photographer/ Lauren's Maternity and Newborn Session

Welcome to the world, baby Celia! It feels like yesterday we were just doing mama’s studio maternity session. My clients told me they were in shock when the doctors yelled out “it’s a little girl!” at the hospital. I remember specifically thinking during Lauren’s maternity shoot that I really wanted to stick to the same whites and neutrals aesthetics for when her baby arrived- it’s a beautiful way to tell her story. It was an honor to document the belly to baby journey. The beauty of hiring the same maternity photographer for your specialized newborn photoshoot, magic happens and the client really connects with the photographer. There is so much communication, trust, time, and passion that is invested
from both sides, to achieve the end result which are this family’s forever memories.

I’m sure you can envision how gorgeous her maternity album and wall art were- I’m so happy they chose to print their memories from before and after their baby arrived- it was just for them to remember this beautiful time in their lives. Fast forward about 3 weeks, and I got a text message from Lauren saying that her baby girl Celia had arrived. She opted for an in home newborn session, which is always an option that I offer to my newborn/ maternity clients. It’s so important that my families feel comfortable in their choice. Some families prefer the space and options provided by my studio experience, and some families love the idea of me coming with everything to do the session in the comfort of their home.

If you thought that the maternity session was beautiful, I think you will also really love the beauty and naturalness that
we documented for baby girl’s sesssion. Mom loved neutrals, but definitely wanted to throw some Christmas shots in there.

Also, as first mom and dad weren’t sure about getting in some pictures with Celia, they only wanted baby alone shots. But I do try to convince mom and dad to get in there, it doesn’t matter what you look like, you will never regret having these images with your baby this tiny and new. I told her to take her time doing her hair and makeup a little, and we did some gorgeous shots with natural light in front of the window. All in all, they were so happy they did when they saw their pictures at their gallery reveal and ordering appointment! As you can imagine, their wall art collage, and newborn baby acrylic album were to die for!
