The angelic Alaya came into this world just a few weeks after our beautiful maternity session with her beautiful mama, Tia. This baby girl was already a rock star and she showed it. She was 8 pounds of pure love! As many of my maternity clients do, mom and dad really wanted the story to continue seamlessly from their maternity session right into their newborn session. They had a vision for their storyboard collage the pre-purchased at their maternity ordering appointment. They were envisioning the storyboard collage to contain both images from the maternity and also the newborn session, so it had to flow
beautifully. If you guys could only see and feel how gorgeous it turned out to be in person!
Looking back, I remember the first time I ever spoke with Tia. She was so heartfelt and expressed to me that her maternity session was so much to her than having beautiful pictures. She wanted to freeze these moments in time, and remember them for the rest her life. This was her rainbow baby, a blessing from above. I don’t take my job lightly and working with her through the whole process from baby to belly
portraits has been a true honor.
We had to stick to neutral and soft colors, and mom really wanted to commemorate her special rainbow baby with a rainbow prop and a rainbow colored wrap. The results were absolutely darling.
Since Alaya was such a calm baby, although awake in many shots, we were able to flow through newborn posing on the beanbag, as well as in various basket and wooden props. This made for a really nice session filled with variety. When mom and dad saw their images for the first time, they were in love! It was so hard to narrow down and choose, but they were so excited for their selections and to see their finished wall art and album.
And as if this gallery couldn’t get lovelier, here are some of the parent and family we documented. Swoon!
